Wood-look plank porcelain, large format tile and travertine. Tear out, prep, level and set.
Almost every floor complaint traces back to prep. A slab that was not levelled, a plank set with the wrong offset, lippage you feel with a bare foot.
We tear out, check the slab, level what needs levelling, and set with the offset the tile is actually rated for. Long plank porcelain in particular has a maximum offset, and ignoring it is why edges stick up.
Wood-look plank is the workhorse here. It takes lake water, sand and dog nails without complaining, which real wood does not.
Sometimes, but usually we do not recommend it. It raises the floor height at every doorway and you inherit whatever was wrong underneath.
Depends on square footage and how much tear out there is. A typical Havasu single story runs about one to two weeks including prep.
Look at the rating. Wet areas want a higher slip rating, and we will point you at the ones that suit a lake house with wet feet coming in.
No, but plan on the work area being unusable. We usually stage it room by room so you keep a path through the house.
Send a few photos and a rough size. If it looks like a fit we will come measure it in person.
